Location
Emerald Shores Estate is located on Chalk Sound National park, an ocean inlet. Chalk Sound is a long narrow strip of land with beaches on one side, and parkland on the other. The water changes in color from light green, to aqua, to emerald green, to light blue.

In the sound there are over one hundred small cays, many of which are unexplored. The sound is made up of a fine, white-sandy bottom starting at a 3ft depth at a shore, deepening to 10-15 feet in the deepest part.

Many different types of colored corals grow there along with different species of tropical fish. Swimming, snorkeling, fishing, and kayaking are popular activities.

Travel
The main airport is Providenciales (PLS) and there are direct flights from London, Toronto, Boston, New York, Atlanta, Charlotte, Philadelphia, Fort Lauderdale, and Miami. It takes less than 3 hours flying time from New York.

There are many reliable Taxi services on the island, but we recommend making reservations to have a small economy car waiting for you at the airport. Many major rental car companies operate at the airport. Driving is on the left side of the road, "British style."
